How do we handle special weather conditions like typhoons or black rainstorms?
Classes will be automatically canceled without individual notifications if a Tropical Typhoon Signal 8 or above, or a Black Rainstorm Warning, is active two hours before the scheduled class time.
If a Typhoon Signal 3 or below is in effect, classes will proceed as scheduled without additional notices. Absences due to such weather conditions will result in the loss of class credits for the booked session.
What should I wear for Pilates sessions?
To ensure safety when using Pilates equipment, it's essential to wear non-slip socks. For your attire, we recommend sportswear that is neither too tight nor too loose, allowing for comfortable movement and better visibility of your body's motions.
Opt for yoga pants or exercise shorts without zippers. It's also best to avoid wearing jackets during Pilates sessions.
Should I enroll in Group Classes or Private Classes?
This is a common question, especially among those new to Pilates. While there isn't a definitive answer, here are our suggestions:
If you're new to Pilates and looking to have fun while trying it out, a group class might be ideal. You'll be able to share the experience with friends or other participants. Instructors will give general instructions to the group, but individual attention will be limited compared to private sessions. There will be fewer personalized tactile cues, but group classes remain popular among beginners. Reformer Pilates exercises in group settings effectively target various body parts and small muscle groups.
Some beginners prefer private sessions for a more personalized experience and deeper understanding of their body alignment. In private sessions, you'll get to use a wider variety of Pilates equipment, have more interaction with the instructor about your lifestyle, and receive tailored advice on how to move more efficiently. Over time, you'll develop a personal connection with your instructor, who can then provide customized training sessions that suit your evolving needs. It's a continuous journey of progress.
